Chemotherapy ward

Introduction of section / unit: The chemotherapy ward is for cancer patients, which provides the required services in a completely isolated manner in order to comply with safety standards and infection control in order to achieve the highest recovery rate, along with the knowledge of experienced physicians. Having 24 hospital beds and experienced staff as one of the most equipped chemotherapy wards in the province in the region receives international patients from neighboring countries and is considered one of the strengths of the province’s treatment.   Services and specialized activities of the department / unit: Chemotherapy involves the administration of drugs that kill the cancer cells. It destroys some of the cancer cells. It stops the growth of the cancer cells. It slowly cuts off the food needed for the cancer cells. Chemotherapy drugs are prescribed in several ways. Intramuscular or subcutaneous injection or directly into the cerebrospinal fluid Intravenous injection method that is administered through an injector or through a putty in the central veins of the body. Oral method in the form of tablets, capsules or liquid that the patient eats. Oral method in the form of tablets, capsules or liquid that the patient eats. A topical or rubbing method in which chemotherapy is rubbed onto a patient’s skin. Intravenous or oral injections are commonly used to treat breast cancer. The duration of injection of each drug depends on the type of drug and the treatment regimen. It is the physician who determines it and it has nothing to do with other patients’ treatment plans and one patient’s schedule should not be compared with other patients.
